DC Man Arrested in “Upskirting” Incident in Waldorf

Woman shopping at B.J.'s Wholesale Club saw man holding camera under her dress

A D.C. man was arrested after allegedly trying to take "upskirt" photos of a woman in Waldorf, Md., Tuesday.

Kevin Edward Harvey, 25, has been charged with second-degree assault, visual surveillance with prurient intent, and providing a false name to a law enforcement officer.

The incident began when a shopper at the B.J.'s Wholesale Club in the 1000 block of St. Nicholas Drive felt something on her leg. When she looked down, she saw a man holding a camera under her dress, trying to take a picture.

The victim yelled and the man fled. Security guards and county police officers who were in the area apprehended Harvey.

Authorities say that Harvey first gave a different name, but a fingerprint check revealed his true identity.
