Fashion Crimes in Dupont Circle

The boutique of a high-end European clothier was targeted twice in the last week by thieves.

Wednesday evening, thieves broke into the G-Star Raw store in Dupont Circle.

The store's fashion might be considered sophisticated, but the thieves' method appeared blunt - they threw a softball-sized rock threw the front window.

Sources told News4 that once the rock shattered the window, the store's alarm went off.  The robbers hopped in through the window and began shovelling denim out onto the street for three minutes, fire briage style, before fleeing the scene.

Jeans in the store range from $160 to $500 a pair.

On July 6, the store was also broken into.  No word on what items or outfits the thieves made off with in that crime.
