D.C. Crews Practice Snowstorm Response

The District of Columbia government made sure it's ready for a snowstorm.

Mayor Vincent Gray was on hand Friday morning as the city's "snow team'' completed a dry run for a plowing operation.

Crews from the departments of public works and transportation gathered in the parking lot of RFK Stadium before being driving around the city to test out their routes and equipment. About 700 plow drivers participated. Other workers practiced their duties at sites, including the district's salt dome.
