D.C. Circulator Buses Adding Route Around National Mall

The nation's capital is about to get a new, tourist-friendly bus route.

District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser joined federal officials on Friday for the ceremonial opening of the new D.C. Circulator bus route around the National Mall.

The buses will begin running on Sunday. They'll start at Union Station and stop at locations including the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials, the National Air and Space Museum and the National Gallery of Art.

Circulator buses are run by the city and supplement the buses managed by the Metro transit authority. They run every 10 minutes, and rides cost $1.
