A 10-year-old child was transported by paramedics in critical condition after being pulled from a house fire Monday morning.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to the report of a house on fire on the 200 block of Elizabeth Avenue just before 7:30 a.m.
First-responding firefighters on the scene encountered heavy smoke in the house. Firefighters entered the burning building and pulled the unconscious boy out.
Over 45 firefighters worked the scene.
