Chantilly Teen Kills Father

An 18-year-old son killed his father with a knife, police in Fairfax said.

Authorities said they responded to a Chantilly address around 11 p.m. on Friday for a reported stabbing.

Fairfax police found a 40-year-old Francis Koroma in the house, dying of major trauma wounds to his upper body.  The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he died of his wounds.

Authorities said Koroma's attacker was his son, Gbassay Koroma.  He was taken into custody, and is being held at Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Police said this was the 4th murder in Fairfax County this year.

Investigators have not released a motive in the crime.
