D.C., Baltimore Flights Hardest Hit by Winter Storm

As the winter storm pummels its way across the country, airlines have cancelled thousands of flights, and our area is the hardest hit.

Eighty-two percent of flights at Reagan National Airport were cancelled as of 4 p.m., according to tracking service FlightAware.com, and half of flights were halted at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Dulles International Airport fared somewhat better, but only slightly -- 46 percent of flights were cancelled.

Daniel Baker of the says flight cancellations are stacking up from the D.C. area all the way up to New England. Airports in Philadelphia and New York have added hundreds more cancellations.
