Back to School in Fairfax County

It is the official end of summer vacation for thousands of kids in Fairfax county. More than 175,000 students returned to class this morning.

This year marks to start of full day kindergarten system wide and is the first time in three years that teachers have received pay increases.

School superintendent Jack Dale says budget constraints have eased a little-- so he is not expecting any program cuts this year.

Enrollment is up in Fairfax county, but Dale says they were able to find space within schools and bring in modular classrooms to accommodate influx of kids.
