The District of Columbia's attorney general is inviting current and prospective homeowners to learn more about how to spot bad contractors and shady house-flippers.
Attorney General Karl Racine and other District officials are hosting a forum on Monday night at the Benning Library in northeast Washington.
Earlier this year, Racine's office filed a lawsuit accusing a Virginia couple of selling improperly and illegally renovated houses in the District. The forum is meant to educate homeowners and buyers about red flags in the house-buying process.
