The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says a 21-year-old man was assaulted and robbed when he opened his door to men he thought were his friends.
Officials say that the man opened his door to his home on Hiddengrove Court in Ashburn early Saturday and was immediately struck with a blunt object. At least two men came into the home and rummaged through his house, taking several items.
Investigators say they are working with the victim, who was treated and released from a local hospital. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 703-777-0475.
