Father Charged for Murder of 17-Year-Old Daughter

Throughout the past year, 45-year-old Rodney James McIntyre publicly demanded that police find his
daughter's murderer.

This past weekend, Metro police did name a suspect - they arrested McIntyre himself, charging him in the murder of his daughter.

On November 29, 2010, 17-year-old Ebony Franklin accompanied her father on a trip looking for Christmas presents.  That was the last time she was seen alive.

Franklin's body was found in a garbage container in an alley way on 1000 block of Fairmount Street, Northwest.

Prosecutors said that the girl had been stabbed 15 times.  They said the case against her father was built on records gathered from his phone as well as DNA evidence found on the victim.  Investigators said that they found DNA inside the girl's body.
