Route 50 was closed in Loudoun County due to a crash involving a cement truck and a car.
Two people were trapped in the wreckage -- the truck wound up on top of the car -- near Fleetwood Road in Arcola, Va.
The drivers of the truck and the car were taken to an area hospital. The driver of the car had been trapped.
Two helicopters were called to the scene to transport the injured.
The road was closed in both directions, causing major delays. It reopened in both directions about 6:10 p.m.
