Montgomery County Fire and Rescue rescued a cow stuck in a muddy ravine Monday.

A 2,000-pound steer was stuck for about three hours on a farm in the 16700 block of Whites Store Road in Boyds.

It's unclear how the steer got stuck.

The animal was stressed by the heat and the rescue effort and is resting and being cooled down.
