A Fairfax, Va. couple was sentenced Friday for prostituting a 15-year-old throughout the D.C. area.
Stephanie Olean Chapman, 28, and Ronnie Pierre Holmes, 30, will spend the next 11 and 14 years, respectively, in prison. Both sentences will be followed by five years of supervised released.
According to court documents, Chapman and Holmes met the teen and recruited her to be a prostitute. Between Feb. 2013 and March 2013, the couple took sexually suggestive photos of the girl and sent them to potential customers. They then drove the girl to meet customers in Virginia, Maryland and D.C., taking half the money she was paid after each sexual encounter.
Holmes and Chapman were charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a child. Chapman was also charged with sex trafficking of a child and interstate transportation of a minor for the purposes of prostitution.
