Construction Blasting to Take Place Next to Rosslyn Metro Station

Controlled construction blasting will be taking place next to the Rosslyn Metrorail station starting April 18th, Metro says.

The blasting, which will last three months, will only affect access to the station and buses.

Metro says sidewalk and street traffic will be temporarily halted for 6 to 10 minutes before 6:30 a.m. most weekdays on N. Moore Street from the pedestrian skywalk on the south side of the roadway to 19th Street on the north.

The street closures are expected to cause very limited delays to bus service.

Metro says riders can avoid the sidewalk closures by entering the Rosslyn station through the Ft. Myer Drive entrance or the southern access gate on North Moore Street.

The construction blasting is part of a private development project known as 1812 N. Moore Street Development.
