Congressional Delegation to Get Briefing on Metro Probe

Members of the National Capital Delegation, members of Congress who represent Washington and its Maryland and Virginia suburbs, will get a briefing on the investigation into the fatal malfunction in the Metro system.

Delegation members will meet with leaders of the National Transportation Safety Board and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority in a closed-door session Wednesday.

After the meeting, members of the delegation will conduct a news conference at the Capitol. Fifteen minutes later, the NTSB will conduct a news conference at its conference center at L'Enfant Plaza.

The Metro station at L'Enfant Plaza is where a train filled with smoke on Jan. 12, killing one woman and injuring dozens.
