People living or enjoying the long weekend in more elevated areas to the north and west may see freezing rain and slick travel conditions on Sunday, Storm Team4 Meteorologist Lauryn Ricketts says.
Areas along the I-81 corridor will see temperatures hovering around the freezing mark through Sunday. D.C. gets temperatures in the high 30s.
There could be periods of drizzle through lunchtime, with heavier showers late in the afternoon and continue through the evening. A few showers may continue early Monday morning, but most of the day will be breezy with a high temperature of 50 degrees.
Tuesday is also forecasted to stay dry and mild, but Storm Team4 is tracking a chance of serious snow, freezing rain and rain on Wednesday.
The D.C. area could see snow Wednesday morning before it morphs into a wintry mix. Eventually, it will likely turn to all-rain.
