Civil Trial in Attorney's Death Set for June 2011

A D.C. judge has scheduled a June 2011 civil trial for the lawsuit stemming from the mysterious stabbing death of attorney Robert Wone.

Superior Court Judge Brook Hedge has ordered all evidence to be submitted by March 15, 2011 and has slated the trial to begin on June 13, 2011.

Authorities said Wone was drugged, sexually assaulted and stabbed after arranging to spend the night at the D.C. town home of three romantically linked men.

Joseph Price, Dylan Ward and Victor Zaborsky were acquitted of misleading police in June, but they now face a wrongful death civil lawsuit filed by Wone's family.

No one has been charged in Wone's slaying.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said on WTOP's "Ask the Chief" program last month that the investigation is open and active.
