100 drivers got five free gallons of gas just by showing up on Saturday in College Park.

Maryland Christian Fellowship Community Church held the free gas giveaway at College Park Auto Service on Rhode Island Avenue.

Volunteers also cleaned off windshields in addition to pumping the free gas.

Five gallons doesn’t seem like a lot, but the church's pastor says every little bit helps.

“It was amazing to hear the stories,” said Jeff Warner. “Those five gallons of gas made a huge difference to people. For people to wait a couple hours for $20 of gas, it stresses how important the need is.”
