Loudoun County residents have a chance tonight to offer their opinion on whether religious displays should be banned on the grounds of the county courthouse.
A hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the County Government Center in Leesburg.
This debate started in November, when a resident-based commission decided that the county should ban displays at the courthouse after the county received several requests to use the space. One of the applications rejected was for a Christmas tree, sparking outrage in the community.
The county board is expected to make a final decision on the controversy tomorrow.
