A young girl was found dead inside a home that was on fire in the 3300 block of 11th Place, SE, Friday morning.
She had been stabbed, sources told News4.
The girl's mother, who had flagged officers down to the scene, was taken into custody and treated for what police believe are self-inflicted stab wounds.
The woman is a suspect in her seven-year old daughter's death, sources tell News4.
Investigators are still trying to piece together exactly what happened.
Neighbors say that the family was quiet, and that the little girl would often be seen playing in the backyard.
