A child has died after having a medical emergency on a Fairfax County school bus, police say.
A young boy had a medical emergency on a bus in Herndon, in the 2300 block of Dulles Station Boulevard, Fairfax County police said Thursday evening. Medics responded and treated the child. No other children were on the bus at the time, police said.
The child was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Information was not available immediately on when the medical emergency occurred or what exactly happened to the boy.
A death investigation is underway.
