Charges Against Albert Haynesworth Dropped

A sex assault case against former Washington Redskins football player Albert Haynesworth was  dismissed in a District of Columbia courtroom Monday.

Haynesworth was accused of groping a server at the W Hotel in 2011.

He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of assault.

The plea included a deferred sentencing agreement that called for Haynesworth to perform 160 hours of community service and undergo counseling. He was also ordered to stay away from the waitress and obey all laws and court orders for 18 months.

Haynesworth had to comply with the conditions to get the charge dropped.

Monday,  D.C. Judge Truman A. Morrison III dismissed the case, after the government indicated it was satisfied Haynesworth had met the conditions of the agreement.
