Sex assault charges were dropped Wednesday against a Baptist bishop in Maryland.
Earlier this year, a 22-year-old woman had accused Michael C. Turner Sr. of stalking, harassing and making sexual advances toward her.
Turner is a senior pastor at the Miracle Center of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
The Prince George's State Attorney's Office said the charges against Turner were dropped Wednesday and the victim no longer wanted to proceed with case.
According to the church's website, Turner has been a pastor in the D.C. area for 40 years and was ordained at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in D.C.
He was promoted to bishop about two months before the accusations.
