Officers arrested two brothers over the weekend after they returned to the scene of the crime about two hours later, police said.
A 27-year-old woman was parked in front of a 7-Eleven in Silver Spring, Maryland, waiting for a friend making a purchase before midnight Friday when three men approached her vehicle. One man reached through the open window and pushed the woman's head down while another man displayed a handgun, police said.
The woman got out of the car and called police, who found the car about 1:25 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Silver Spring Avenue, police said.
Back at the 7-Eleven, where detectives were investigating, the victim was able to identify two of the men -- 20-year-old Antonio Knox and his older brother Anthony Knox, 21 -- when they returned to the scene at about 1:40 a.m., police said.
The brothers both admitted to being involved in the carjacking, police said.
Police are still looking for a third suspect, whom they believe goes by the nickname "Freak."
Anyone with information about the carjacking or the suspect should call 1-866-44-8477.
