Carbon Monoxide Scare Sends 9 to Hospital

Faulty stove suspected

Fairfax County firefighters believe a faulty stove caused a carbon monoxide scare.

CO detectors went off inside one building at the Fairfax Circle Villa apartments on Blake Lane Thursday evening.

Nine people from two units reported symptoms related to CO poisoning including trouble breathing. Rescuers took them to the hospital. There is no update on their conditions at this time.

Firefighters said they sealed the malfunctioning gas line in the building to prevent another scare.
