Car Rolls Into Day Spa's Reception

BETHESDA, Md. -- An 82-year-old woman crashed her car into the reception area of a day spa in Montgomery County Tuesday afternoon.

Before 3 p.m., the woman driving a gold 1995 Toyota Camry was turning from Arlington Road into the driveway of an office building in the 6900 block, according to Montgomery County police. Witnesses said the car picked up speed as it hit a pylon and continued along a retaining wall before crashing into the front of the Citrine Salon on the ground floor of the office building.

The driver was taken to Suburban Hospital for treatment, police said. She was conscious and in stable condition.

Two employees -- a 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman -- were taken to Suburban for treatment of minor injuries.
