Burglars Hit Alexandria Apartment Complex 13 Times This Year

Stolen credit cards lead police to surveillance video

Police linked surveillance video to 13 daytime burglaries at an Alexandria apartment complex.

Burglars took laptop computers, electronics and credit cards from the complex in the 5800 block of Cameron Run Terrace in the crimes dating to February, Fairfax County Police said.

The credit cards were used more than a dozen times at a CVS, gas stations, convenience stores and other place in Alexandria, D.C. and Prince George's County, Md.

Surveillance video showed a man and three women using the stolen credit cards, police said. The man appears to be older and may have a skin condition. One of the women looks pregnant, and another was with a little girl.

Residents of the apartment complex said they were surprised by the robberies because it is a gated community.
