Brothers Arrested in Stabbing at Gaithersburg Hotel

Police say the suspects used a baseball bat and a knife to assault a woman and a man

Two brothers have been charged in a hotel stabbing and robbery in Gaithersburg, Maryland, police say.

Sean Wilson, 31, and Robert Wilson, 33, assaulted and tried to rob a woman and a man at the Extended Stay America hotel on Professional Drive on Sunday, Montgomery County police said in a release Monday.

Police said the brothers attacked the man with a baseball bat and a knife then attacked the woman with the bat. A hotel employee who heard the attack called the police.

Officers found the victims in their hotel room with non-life threatening injuries and then found the Wilsons in a separate hotel room suffering from non-life threatening injuries they got during the assault.

Investigators believe the Wilson brothers knew the victims.

The Wilsons were arrested after they were released from the hospital and charged with home invasion robbery, two counts each of first-degree assault and two counts each of second-degree assault.

Robert Wilson is being held without bond. Sean Wilson was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
