A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in northwest Washington, D.C. police said.
Officers responded to a call about an unconscious man Sunday night and found Joel Watkins lying in the 6200 block of Seventh Street, police said. The northwest D.C. teenager had gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead after authorities took him to the chief medical examiner's office.
The police department's homicide branch is investigating the shooting.
