Bomb Threat Closes Fairfax County Courthouse

Court activity rescheduled

The Fairfax County Courthouse has closed for the day because of a bomb threat, according to the county's emergency information site:

  • All preliminary hearings scheduled for 2 p.m. in the General District Court are canceled and will be rescheduled.
  • All court cases in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court will be continued at a later date.
  • All juvenile intake services will be relocated to the Juvenile Detention Center, 10650 Page Ave., Fairfax.
  • The juvenile drivers license ceremony scheduled for this afternoon has been canceled and will be rescheduled

A sweep of the courthouse completed Wednesday afternoon found nothing.
