The body of a man who police believe drowned in the Rappahannock River near Port Royal was found Sunday morning, over two weeks after he had been first reported missing.

King George County Sheriff Steve Dempsey told The Free Lance-Star that searchers recovered the body of John Randolph "Randy" Robinson III at around 11 a.m.

The body was located by sheriff's deputies near the Port Royal Bridge.

Robinson had been reporting missing on the evening of November 12. He had been out in a canoe with his girlfriend when the boat capsized.
