Fairfax County Police have released a sketch and a description of a suspect in the suspicious death of a Reston man.

Police were called to Hunter Woods Plaza for a report of a missing person at around 1:45 a.m. Saturday. An investigation led them to the 11900 block of Winterthur Lane, where they found the body of 40-year-old Bharat Patel, of 11913 Winterthur Lane.

Police had been called to that block an hour earlier for a report of a fight, but did not find any evidence of an altercation. It is not clear what, if any, relation that report had to Patel's death.

A preliminary investigation found that Patel had suffered upper body trauma. The exact cause of death is not known at this time.

The suspect is described as an Indian male who stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and is between 25 and 35 years of age. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt with a thin orange stripe down the sleeves and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-866-411-8477 or (703) 691-2131.
