Body Found Outside Centreville Home

Police are searching for possible suspects after a man's body was found Monday morning in Centreville, Va.

Investigators said there was a report of a robbery in progress at about 10:45 a.m. at the home in the 14200 block of Compton Road. Investigators said two men tried to enter the house through a garage.  Police said there was an altercation between the intruders and people at the home. When police arrived they found a man's body near garages on the property.

Police said that person was an acquaintance of the family that owns the home. His identity has not been released. 

Police said two men were seen fleeing the scene on foot.  Officers, police dogs and a helicopter participated in the search, but the men, who are considered armed and dangerous, have not been found.

The suspects were described as black, in their 20s and about 5-feet-10-inches tall. One was light skinned with a beard and mustache and the other had darker skin and a thin goatee. Both wore dark clothing.

Yorkshire Elementary School and two other schools near the Fairfax-Prince William county line were placed on heightened alert after the incident, according to InsideNova.com
