Blue Angels Cancel Show After Low Maneuver

The Blue Angels have canceled their practice demonstration and air show scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, Md.

The cancellation is due to a "safety stand-down period" imposed by the team’s commanding officer after a lower-than-normal maneuver that took place during the team’s last performance May 22 at the Lynchburg Regional Air Show.

Following the low maneuver all aircraft landed safely without damage or injury to personnel, according to Blue Angels.

Officials have not determined if the Blue Angels will perform the flyover at the Naval Academy's graduation on Friday.
