Bloomberg Joins Va. Tech Victims' Families in Gun Loophole Ad

ARLINGTON, Va. -- New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is sounding off about Virginia's gun show loophole again.

Worried about the crimes, injuries and homicides perpetrated in New York City with guns bought in Virginia, Bloomberg is appearing with families of victims of the Virginia Tech shootings in a new ad to raise awareness of the loophole, which refers to the fact that guns can sometimes be sold at gun shows in Virginia without background checks.

Bloomberg and victims' families unveiled the ad in Arlington Monday.

On April 16, 2007, a gunman killed more than 30 people on the school's Blacksburg campus.
