Beltsville Murder Victim Identified

The body of 22-year-old Ingrid Lizet Martinez-Alvarez was discovered Wednesday

    Police circulated these images of the 22-year-old's tattoos in the hopes of discovering her identity.

    Police in Prince George's County have identified the body of a woman who was found in Beltsville earlier this week.

    Late Saturday afternoon, police identified the body as that of 22-year-old Ingrid Lizet Martinez-Alvarez of the 7900 block of Riggs Road. Martinez-Alvarez's body was discovered Wednesday in a wooded area of Beltsville Neighborhood Park.

    Police identified Martinez-Alvarez after receiving tips from the public. On Friday, police circulated a photo of the victim's tattoos in the hope that someone would recognize them. 

    The death is still under investigation.

    A neighborhood park in Prince George's County closed Wednesday while police investigated a murder mystery. Someone discovered a woman's body while walking in a wooded area of Beltsville. News4's Erika Gonzalez spoke to some neighbors who are rattled by the find.
