A bear caused some nervous moments in southern Loudoun County.
The bear was spotted near Pinebrook Elementary School's baseball field Thursday afternoon by fifth grader Samantha Schuler.
Samantha's intrepid father followed the bear in his car and got close enough for his daughter to take a photo. Shortly after the photo was taken, the bear ran off into the woods.
The family notified animal control officers of the danger the bear might pose to nearby school children.
