Banks Stabbing Suspect Facing Gun Charges

The man accused of stabbing a Washington Redskins player apparently isn't partial to just one type of weapon.

Jason Shorter was arrested again Tuesday night. Police pulled him over for speeding along North Capitol Street in Northeast.

Officers found a gun and ammunition inside his car, according to court documents. He did not have a permit to carry the gun in D.C.

Shorter is accused of stabbing kick returner Brandon Banks and another man outside of a nightclub in February. Banks suffered a collapsed lung. He's since recovered.

Shorter will be back in court for that case in July.
