Baltimore Blogger Involved in Police Standoff

The standoff lasted around four hours.

A Baltimore blogger is behind bars after a four-hour standoff with police that he streamed over the internet.

Police went to the house of Frank James MacArthur, who blogs as the Baltimore Spectator, around 7 p.m. Saturday night to arrest him for violating his probation from a 2009 gun charge.

But MacArthur refused to come out, and started tweeting and streaming the standoff online.

MacArthur also complained about his previous arrests, and said he was being mistreated.

Around 11 p.m., MacArthur surrendered peacefully, going into police custody.

Police will discuss with prosecutors whether he should face additional charges for the standoff.
