Arrests Made in Liquor Store Robbery

The two men whom police say robbed a Virginia liquor store last month in Orange County are under arrest.

The store was robbed of cash, and on Tuesday night, Jeremy Harold Carter, 19, turned himself into Virginia State Police investigators.

In their latest arrest on Saturday, police nabbed James Lee Cooks, also 19, of Sperryville on an unrelated charge. During his processing, police linked him to the liquor store robbery, said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.

Both men face robbery and weapons charges stemming from the Dec. 20 robbery.
