A 23-year-old man robbed three cab drivers of their cash and cell phones during the past few weeks, police say.
Jose Matthews of D.C. was arrested Friday on charges of robbery while armed and assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with the following incidents:
- Dec. 29: cab driver robbed just after drop off in the 1400 block of Saratoga Avenue NE
- Jan. 24: cab driver robbed before 11 a.m. in 1500 block of Channing Street NE after drop off
- Jan. 29: cab driver robbed after drop off in 2600 block of 17th Street NE just after 1 p.m.
