Arrest Made In Fatal July 4 Shootings

22-year-old arrested, charged with first-degree murder

D.C. Police have made an arrest relating to the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old earlier this week.

22-year-old Calvin Shaw of Laurel, Md. was arrested and charged with first-degree murder while armed Sunday in connection with the death of Crevontai Key of Northeast.

Key was one of four people shot in the 5000 block of First Street, Northwest shortly after 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night. The shooting was one of two fatal altercations that occurred around six hours apart Wednesday night and Thursday morning and resulted in the deaths of two people, including Key.
