Arlington County, home to the Pentagon, will celebrate several special events on Saturday to remember the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001.

An event at the Air Force Memorial, which overlooks the Pentagon, will honor the 184 people who lost their lives in the Pentagon attack. The Air Force Band Brass Quintet Ensemble and Wakefield High School's a capella choir will perform. The Saturday event begins at 7:30 p.m.

The county also sponsors the annual Police, Fire & Sheriff Memorial 5K Run. This year's -- already sold out for participants -- is Saturday evening. Each year, the run benefits charities related to Sept. 11 and military families. The charities for 2011 are the Wounded Warrior Project and Homes for Our Troops. The run starts and ends in Crystal City, and goes by the Pentagon. If you're interested in volunteering at the event, click here.
