FALLS CHURCH, Va. -- The committee organizing the inaugural parade is getting hundreds of applications from marching bands, including some from area high schools.
JEB Stuart, Annandale and Falls Church high schools have filed a joint application to perform for President-elect Barack Obama.
The Armed Forces Inaugural Committee has received more than 400 applications and extended the deadline to apply.
Since the election, the number of applications has skyrocketed, a spokesperson said.
