Apparent Pipe Bomb Investigated in Loudoun County

Homes evacuated in Sterling

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office investigated what appeared to be a pipe bomb in Sterling, Va., Friday afternoon.

A 12-inch pipe with caps on each end was found on Manning Square near Church and Magnolia roads.

Sheriff's deputies evacuated homes in the area.
