Apartment Fire in Southeast Under Investigation

Officials responded just after 2 a.m. Monday morning

D.C. Fire Department officials are investigating an overnight fire in Southeast Washington.

Firefighters responded to the 100 block of 53rd Street for the report of a fire inside an apartment building just after 2 a.m. Monday morning.

When officials arrived on the scene, they found fire coming from the two-level apartment building. One person was treated on the scene, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
