Anne Arundel High School Teacher Accused of Sexual Relations With Students

Three females 16 and younger in investigation

A teacher at Glen Burnie High School has been arrested for having alleged sexual relationships with three students at his school.

Jeffrey Robert Sears, age 29, of 408 Luther Road in Glen Burnie, was taken into custody on December 8.

After an investigation, Anne Arundel County detectives said three female victims were identified.  All three were between the ages of 15 and 16 at the time of the crimes, which took place between November 2009 and October 2011.

The Anne Arundel County Board of Education learned of the allegations in November, and said Sears was immediately removed from his teaching assignment.

On the Glen Burnie High School website, Sears is listed as an English teacher.  He is charged with multiple counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor, multiple counts of Fourth Degree Sex Offense, Third Degree Sex Offense, multiple counts of Perverted Practice, Sexual Solicitation of a Minor, First Degree Assault and multiple counts of Second Degree Assault.
