An Amber Alert issued by police in Montgomery County was canceled after 7 p.m. Thursday.
Jason Winston Kelly, 39, took his daughter, 15-month-old Farah Eva Muhammed, from her mother's home in the 18900 block of Smoothstone Way in Montgomery Village, Maryland, about 8 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Kelly is in custody in Frederick County.
Farah was not harmed.
