A 15-year-old Hagerstown girl allegedly asked a classmate on a school bus to kill her father, the Washington Post reported.
The classmate did not carry out the homicide, prosecutors said, but a friend of the 15-year-old, Alec Eger, 19, did.
The homicide was discovered on the morning of Halloween. The victim had been stabbed multiple times.
The girl was part of a goth group of teens that liked to suck each other's blood and cut themselves, investigators said.
The girl is being held without bond for soliciting her father's death.
The classmate she initially asked has not been charged, but Eger is facing charges of first-degree murder.
